Ph.D in Computer Science and Machine Learning

Daniel Beaglehole
I am a third-year Ph.D student in computer science and machine learning at UCSD with Professor Mikhail Belkin. I seek to develop new technologies and theories that improve the practice of machine learning. I study the mechanisms that lead to good performance in artificial neural networks - the technology at the core of today's vision and language AI applications. I also develop alternate, non-neural approaches for machine learning problems that optimize for performance, simplicity, and interpretability.
